Is CVAP.ca a government website?
No. CVAP.ca is not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by the Government of British Columbia or the Crime Victim Assistance Program.
CVAP decides eligibility, benefits and applications. Wherever the government is the correct destination, this site links there directly.
How is information reviewed?
- Current BC legislation and regulations come first.
- Government of BC program pages, forms and guidelines support practical explanations.
- Other official victim-service sources are used for help and contact information.
- Every substantive page lists sources and a review date.
- Uncertainty is stated rather than resolved through guesswork.
What does this site not do?
- It does not decide whether anyone qualifies.
- It does not accept or submit CVAP applications.
- It does not collect crime, health or eligibility details.
- It does not sell leads, accept paid placements or promise referrals.
- It does not represent a provider as government-endorsed or preferred.
What is the relationship to John Zak Counselling?
John's practice is presented only where counselling is relevant and is clearly separated from general program information. CVAP.ca remains complete and useful without choosing John or any other featured provider.
